Job Description
Make a meaningful impact supporting K-8 students as a full-time School Psychologist in a vibrant educational setting near Rockford, IL. Key Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current certification and licensure as a School Psychologist in Illinois
- Experience working with students in grades K-8, with strong understanding of their academic, social, and emotional development
- Proficient in conducting psycho-educational evaluations, writing reports, and developing intervention plans
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide direct assessment and consultation services for K-8 students as part of the special education and RTI/MTSS process
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to address academic, social, and emotional concerns
- Support the creation and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Work closely with teachers, administrators, and families to develop strategies fostering student success
- Participate in team meetings and professional development activities throughout the contract term
