Physical Therapist - School Setting in Berryton, KS
Job Description
Step into an impactful role supporting students as an onsite Physical Therapist in a dynamic educational environment. This contract opportunity invites dedicated professionals to provide specialized services across two school sites, located within easy reach of the Berryton, KS area. You’ll have the chance to tailor your schedule between 16-24 hours per week, with flexibility to extend up to 30 hours based on need and mutual approval.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Physical Therapist (PT) license in Kansas
- Previous experience working in school settings preferred
- Strong assessment and treatment planning skills
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities
- Adaptability and professionalism when working across multiple sites
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct physical therapy services to students according to their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Evaluate students’ needs and develop targeted therapy interventions
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
- Document services, progress notes, and maintain up-to-date records in accordance with school and district policies
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of goals and accommodations
- Adapt therapy plans and strategies to suit evolving needs within the school environment
