Job Description
Step into a rewarding opportunity as an onsite Speech-Language Pathologist, providing essential services within a supportive school environment. This contract position runs from August 4 through June 4, operating weekdays from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm (37.5 billable hours weekly, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch).
Work directly with students ages 3 through 8th grade, supporting a diverse caseload of up to 55. Here, your expertise will make a meaningful difference in kids’ academic and social success over the school year.
Key Qualifications:
- Current, valid Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) credential required for schools
- Previous experience in a K-8 educational setting is highly desirable
- Culturally responsive and able to connect with a diverse student population
- Bilingual SLPs strongly preferred to better serve all families and students
- Adept at conducting assessments, developing IEPs, and providing both individual and group therapy
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct therapy for students with a range of speech and language needs
- Complete comprehensive assessments and contribute to multidisciplinary IEP team meetings
- Track student progress, set updated goals, and communicate effectively with families and staff
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other specialists to design interventions
- Maintain accurate documentation as required by school and state guidelines
