This contract opportunity is perfect for a Speech-Language Pathologist who thrives in varied environments and values flexibility. You’ll split your time between specialized self-contained classrooms and provide focused speech-only services, offering tailored support where it’s needed most.
Your weekly schedule will include:
- One day working in a self-contained complex needs classroom
- One day in a similar classroom setting
- A half-day dedicated to a speech-only caseload at a nearby Catholic school
Ideal candidates are enthusiastic about traveling between locations and are passionate about delivering high-quality therapy in different educational environments.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Valid state license to practice as an SLP in Illinois
- Prior experience with school-based or pediatric caseloads is strongly preferred
- Comfortable managing a varied schedule and traveling as required
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with students, staff, and families
Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat students with speech and language disorders in both group and one-on-one settings
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and therapy plans
- Work closely with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize student outcomes
- Document progress and maintain detailed records
- Adapt therapy techniques for students with complex needs and speech-only requirements
