School Speech Language Pathologist - Cicero, IL

This contract opportunity is perfect for a Speech-Language Pathologist who thrives in varied environments and values flexibility. You’ll split your time between specialized self-contained classrooms and provide focused speech-only services, offering tailored support where it’s needed most.

Your weekly schedule will include:

• One day working in a self-contained complex needs classroom
• One day in a similar classroom setting
• A half-day dedicated to a speech-only caseload at a nearby Catholic school

Ideal candidates are enthusiastic about traveling between locations and are passionate about delivering high-quality therapy in different educational environments.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
• Valid state license to practice as an SLP in Illinois
• Prior experience with school-based or pediatric caseloads is strongly preferred
• Comfortable managing a varied schedule and traveling as required
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with students, staff, and families

Responsibilities:

• Assess, diagnose, and treat students with speech and language disorders in both group and one-on-one settings
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and therapy plans
• Work closely with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize student outcomes
• Document progress and maintain detailed records
• Adapt therapy techniques for students with complex needs and speech-only requirements
