Job Description
Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students as a School Psychologist in a vibrant PreK-8 setting. This full-time contract position offers the opportunity to support students’ growth and well-being while collaborating closely with educators, families, and fellow professionals in an onsite role.
This position will run from August 11, 2026, to May 24, 2027, with weekly hours ranging from 35 to 37.5. The grade level and caseload will be determined upon placement, so flexibility and a comfort level working across all PreK-8 grades are essential. Bilingual candidates who speak Spanish are strongly preferred to help serve a diverse student population.
Qualifications:
- Possession of a Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Psychologist endorsement
- Experience or training working with students in an educational setting; previous work in a PreK-8 environment is advantageous
- Capable of providing assessment, consultation, and counseling services to students and their families
- Bilingual (Spanish-English) skills preferred
- Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration abilities
- Ability to adapt services to a variety of grade levels and changing caseloads
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and assessments
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and special education teams to develop and implement IEPs
- Provide individual and group counseling as needed
- Contribute to the creation and monitoring of intervention strategies
- Advocate for students’ social, emotional, and learning needs
- Maintain clear records and documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines
