Make a difference in the educational journey of students as a Social Worker within a dynamic school environment near Saint Paul, MN. This contract role runs from August 17, 2026, through May 28, 2027, offering opportunities to collaborate closely with school teams and positively impact student well-being. Two positions are available, with caseloads assigned following the interview process. The role is fully onsite, supporting students within the district.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized and group counseling to support students’ social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop strategies and interventions for student success.
  • Conduct assessments and participate in multi-disciplinary teams to formulate comprehensive support plans.
  • Advocate for students and connect them with vital community resources and mental health services.
  • Facilitate crisis interventions and contribute to a positive, inclusive school culture.
  • Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with district protocols and state regulations.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid Social Worker licensure/certification as required by Minnesota state law.
  • Previous experience in a K-12 educational or youth services setting highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with both students and adults.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced educational environment.
  • Commitment to equity, diversity, and supporting each child’s unique needs.
  • No educator credential is needed for this position.
