Desired Qualifications:
- Current certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
- Eligible for Illinois licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Early Childhood experience—background working with preschool-aged students is strongly preferred
- Exposure or commitment to special education principles
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Ability to travel between sites within the Winnetka Preschool Consortium
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy services to early childhood students as determined by Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with special education staff, classroom teachers, and families to support each child’s developmental goals
- Evaluate and document students’ functional abilities, progress, and recommendations
- Design and implement intervention strategies for fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and access to classroom environments
- Participate in team meetings, consultation, and professional development as needed
- Maintain clear and accurate records, reports, and documentation in compliance with school and district policies
