Desired Qualifications:

  • Current certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
  • Eligible for Illinois licensure as an Occupational Therapist
  • Early Childhood experience—background working with preschool-aged students is strongly preferred
  • Exposure or commitment to special education principles
  • Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to travel between sites within the Winnetka Preschool Consortium

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide occupational therapy services to early childhood students as determined by Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with special education staff, classroom teachers, and families to support each child’s developmental goals
  • Evaluate and document students’ functional abilities, progress, and recommendations
  • Design and implement intervention strategies for fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and access to classroom environments
  • Participate in team meetings, consultation, and professional development as needed
  • Maintain clear and accurate records, reports, and documentation in compliance with school and district policies
