Make a difference in the lives of K-12 students across four dynamic school buildings as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. This contract position is an excellent opportunity to work closely with an onsite district Occupational Therapist, providing essential support and intervention district-wide within a public school setting. Enjoy engaging with diverse student populations at the elementary, middle, and high school levels while building valuable professional experience.
Key Qualifications:
- Current and valid Pennsylvania COTA license required
- Experience working within school settings as a COTA (preferred, but not required)
- Strong interpersonal communication skills for collaboration with supervising therapist, staff, and families
- Adaptability and flexibility to work across multiple campuses and grade levels
- Demonstrated enthusiasm for helping students reach their functional and educational goals
Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy sessions to K-12 students under the supervision and guidance of the district Occupational Therapist
- Support individualized education plans (IEPs) by assisting with assessments, interventions, and documentation
- Travel between the two elementary schools, one middle school, and one high school on a consistent schedule
- Maintain ongoing communication and collaborate effectively with site OT, special education teams, teachers, and administrators
- Assist with data collection and progress reporting to ensure students’ therapy needs are being met
