Faculty Physician, Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospitalist
Job Description

We are currently looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Contingent OB Hospitalist Physician to become part of our team in Muskegon, MI. This role presents a fantastic opportunity to significantly contribute to the health of our community while working in a supportive, mission-oriented setting.
Key Responsibilities- Provide in-house coverage and comprehensive management for obstetric patients, including labor and delivery, obstetric emergencies, and postpartum care.
- Utilize our Birth Center, which features private, comfortable, home-like birthing rooms.
- Work 24-hour shifts (7 AM to 7 AM) on a rotating schedule.
- Collaborate with obstetricians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest quality of patient care.
- Engage with a Level II Special Care Nursery at our facility, designed for infants requiring additional support, with access to a Level III NICU in Grand Rapids for more complex cases.
- Be part of a team that includes residents and faculty involved in a specialized OB/GYN residency program.
- Work alongside one OB hospitalist per shift, experienced labor & delivery RNs, NICU APPs, and have access to a social worker.
- Board certified in an appropriate area of clinical practice or board eligible, with a commitment to becoming board certified within five years of the start date (unless otherwise required by medical staff bylaws).
- Possess an active Michigan medical license or the ability to obtain one.
- Provide direct patient care and document in Epic EMR.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and support community health efforts.
Enjoy a flexible scheduling system and utilize advanced digital tools such as Epic and MyChart while working alongside skilled physicians, APPs, and dedicated support staff.
