Physical Therapist - School Setting in Fontana, CA

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Physical Therapist licensure for California
• Demonstrated experience working within California schools
• Comfort and adaptability in an itinerant setting, traveling between school locations as needed
• Ability and willingness to supervise Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs)
• Preferred: Bilingual Spanish skills for effective communication with students and families
• Flexibility, initiative, and strong organizational skills

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive physical therapy services to students, promoting access to education and maximizing physical potential
• Conduct assessments, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, and monitor student progress
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, teachers, staff, and families to support student growth
• Oversee and mentor PTAs as needed, ensuring compliance with best practices and school guidelines
• Manage schedules efficiently while traveling between assigned school sites
• Maintain detailed documentation and participate in IEP meetings
• Participate in ongoing professional development and adapt to evolving student needs
