Job Description
Embark on an impactful contract opportunity supporting high school students with complex needs for a full academic year. This Occupational Therapy position, based near Elgin, IL, offers the chance to make a difference within a vibrant high school setting. You’ll operate on a consistent weekday schedule, 7:30am to 3:00pm, with guaranteed 7.5-hour workdays (including lunch). The caseload consists of approximately 18 students across grades 9-12 in Vernon Hills.

Qualifications:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist in Illinois (or eligibility)
- Previous school-based OT experience strongly preferred
- Comfortable working with adolescents and complex caseloads
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Ability to adapt interventions for diverse learning needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ functional and educational needs and develop customized OT plans
- Deliver direct therapy services in both individual and group settings
- Support student participation in academic and daily life activities
- Collaborate with special education teams, teachers, and families to optimize student outcomes
- Maintain compliant documentation and contribute to IEP meetings as required
Compensation for this role starts at $43 per hour, with potential for a higher rate based on your experience and skills.
