Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting children’s communication and language growth within a well-respected district near Detroit, Michigan. As a full-time, in-person Speech-Language Pathologist, you’ll provide crucial services to students who are primarily served in general education settings, working as part of a talented team dedicated to positive student outcomes.
Collaboration and professional development are at the heart of this role—a close-knit SLP team meets monthly as a Professional Learning Team (PLT) to share expertise, tackle challenges, and ensure ongoing support. Your week will be spent across two buildings, making a meaningful difference to students in their home schools while working a consistent Monday through Friday schedule from 7:45am to 3:15pm.
Key qualifications and experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology (required)
- Current CCC-SLP certification or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Pediatric and/or school-based experience valued
- Michigan SLP license or ability to obtain before start date
- Strong collaboration, communication, and record-keeping skills
What you’ll do:
- Deliver personalized speech and language therapy for students in general education classrooms
- Implement IEPs and monitor student progress
- Work closely with teachers, staff, and families to support students’ needs
- Contribute actively to professional learning and resource sharing with the SLP team
- Split time between two school buildings, providing services where they’re needed most
