  • Proven experience working as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing, ideally in a school setting
  • Strong knowledge of best practices in supporting DHH students across various grade levels
  • Skill in adapting curriculum and collaborating with staff, families, and related service providers
  • Dedication to fostering an accessible, engaging, and positive learning atmosphere
  • Excellent communication, organization, and advocacy skills

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized instruction and support to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
  • Develop, adapt, and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
  • Employ a variety of communication modes (such as ASL, visual aids, assistive technology) tailored to each student’s needs
  • Consult with teachers, administrators, and parents to ensure access to academic content and social opportunities
  • Monitor student progress and document outcomes, adjusting instructional strategies as needed
