Step into a vital clerical role supporting Medi-cal processes within an educational environment near Indio, CA. This full-time contract opportunity (40 hours per week), beginning in early September after board approval, runs through the end of June. The position focuses on ensuring accurate management and documentation related to Medi-cal, and does not require special education teaching or specific licensure.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience processing Medi-cal (Medicaid) requests is essential.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail to manage and monitor time-sensitive documentation.
  • Ability to review random time surveys from Medicaid and verify proper procedures with school staff.
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating monthly with Medi-cal representatives and district personnel.
  • Strong understanding of Medicaid policies and compliance standards.
  • Bilingual Spanish skills are a strong plus, given the community served.
  • No special licenses or certifications required, but proven clerical experience in a similar setting is highly valued.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and track random time survey submissions for Medicaid, working closely with special education staff and district team members.
  • Ensure that procedural guidelines and deadlines are met for Medi-cal reporting and reimbursement.
  • Participate in monthly meetings with Medi-cal representatives to reinforce accurate process adherence.
  • Provide general administrative support as needed within the department.
