This contract opportunity is ideal for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) seeking a rewarding experience in a vibrant elementary school setting. Situated near Leander, TX, this 12-week position starts August 3rd and runs through October 23rd, providing essential coverage while collaborating with dedicated teams and making a meaningful impact on student communication skills.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Speech-Language Pathologist license in Texas (SLP - CCC required)
  • Experience working with elementary-aged children, preferably in school environments
  • Expertise in writing PLAAFPs and setting appropriate goals for IEPs
  • Proficient in preparing, facilitating, and archiving speech-only ARDs
  • Ability to provide both individualized and push-in therapies, including Life Skills programs
  • Skilled at completing speech-only evaluations and updating progress reports

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver therapy services to a caseload of approximately 50 students, including students in Life Skills and Grade 3
  • Write Present Levels of Academic Achievement and Functional Performance (PLAAFPs) and develop tailored IEP goals
  • Prepare and archive speech-only ARDs for your caseload, maintaining compliance and thorough documentation
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams by attending MTSS meetings and observing students as needed
  • Conduct speech-only evaluations due by October 2026 for students in your caseload
  • Create progress reports following the first grading period and communicate updates to relevant parties
