Special Education Teacher - Live Oak, CA

This is an onsite, full-time commitment, allowing you to engage closely with students and faculty alike.

Multiple positions available:

• Three Mild/Moderate Special Education roles (covering grades 2-12, K-8, and 7-8)
• One Mild/Moderate Resource Specialist (grades K-6)
• One Mild/Moderate Special Day Class teacher (grades 2-5)
• One Emotional Disturbance Specialist (grades 6-8)

Desired qualifications and experience:

• Active Special Education teaching credential (California certification preferred)
• Previous experience working with K-12 students in special education settings
• Strong understanding of IEP development, assessment, and compliance
• Ability to adapt instruction to meet individual student goals and state standards
• Effective communicator and compassionate advocate for student needs
• Collaborative spirit—comfortable working with general education teachers, specialists, and families

Key responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored instruction and support to students with exceptionalities
• Participate in IEP meetings and student evaluations
• Employ evidence-based interventions and progress monitoring
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom culture
• Provide behavioral and academic support in both individual and group settings

This full-time, onsite contract runs from August 12, 2026, through June 4, 2027.
