Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Possession of a valid Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent field
  • Active state licensure, or eligibility to obtain licensure prior to start
  • Previous school-based experience or strong interest in working with K-12 populations
  • Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Commitment to fostering student growth and building positive relationships with students, staff, and families

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders for students
  • Develop, monitor, and update IEPs in collaboration with teachers and parents
  • Deliver direct and consultative therapy services within the school setting
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all assessments, services, and communications
  • Collaborate with educational teams to support generalization of skills in the classroom
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and provide expertise on best practices
  • Educate and support teachers and families to enhance communication outcomes for students
