Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Certification and minimum 2+ years Surgical Tech / Operating Room Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Skilled professionals experienced in Operating Room Technology, both non-certified and certified Surgical Technologists, are sought for a vital role supporting surgical care. This contract position requires a 10:30 AM start time and the ability to participate in a rotating on-call schedule—12 hours of weekend on-call and 20 hours of weekday on-call within a four-week period, maintaining a 30-minute response. Scheduled shifts include two per every other weekend, and weekend calls will supplement existing weekend shifts. Please note: one scheduled shift per pay period may be cancelled without pay.

Key Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated proficiency in orthopedic, neurosurgical, and robotic procedures
  • Experience as an OR Tech, Surgical Tech – non-certified or certified
  • Capability to anticipate needs during surgical cases and assist with dressings, cast applications, and instrument handling
  • Adherence to high standards in policy compliance and patient safety
  • Commitment to compliance with all regulatory, licensing, and certification requirements, including documentation and mandatory training
  • Reliable participation in on-call rotations with prompt response time
  • Strong communication skills for accurate surgical count and documentation

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver quality care to operating room patients by anticipating procedural needs and supporting surgeons effectively
  • Prepare surgical cases according to physician preference cards
  • Maintain accurate counts for instruments, sponges, and other items per policy, updating records as required
  • Ensure clear documentation and timely communication of any discrepancies or incidents
  • Participate actively in departmental improvement, task assignments, and process enhancements
  • Take initiative identifying and addressing issues impacting care or workflow
  • Engage in teaching and team education as needed

$1,601 - $1,751/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 36 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
