School-Based Physical Therapist - Winter Garden, Florida

A dynamic K-12 setting is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to provide essential support for students, ranging from pre-K through high school. With a variety of needs and a focus on both direct and indirect services, your skills will have a lasting impact across several campuses. Enjoy a collaborative environment alongside another Physical Therapist and a PTA, creating positive outcomes for approximately 94 students districtwide.

This contract-based role offers flexibility, as the district welcomes either one full-time therapist or two to three part-time professionals to collectively deliver 40 hours weekly. You'll serve 2–3 schools per day as part of an itinerant model, with schedules running from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm and a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. The next school year begins August 3rd, 2026, and continues through May 28th, 2027.

Qualifications:

• Active professional Physical Therapist license in Florida.
• School-based experience is strongly preferred, though not required.
• Comfort working with K-12 students, including some Pre-K.
• Ability to travel between multiple school sites daily.
• Professionalism and flexibility within diverse educational environments.
• Willingness to complete required onboarding and credentialing processes.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and consultative physical therapy services to students.
• Partner with educators, families, and other therapists to develop and implement care plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation as required by the district.
• Support students’ physical access, safety, and participation in school activities.
