Embark on an enriching contract opportunity as an Occupational Therapist, supporting early childhood learners for the 2026-2027 school year (2-3 days per week). Key Qualifications:
- Valid certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.
- Previous experience working in early childhood and/or special education settings is highly valued.
- Ability and willingness to travel between sites within the preschool consortium to meet student needs.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with a collaborative mindset for working alongside educators and families.
- Efficient organizational and documentation abilities.
Main Responsibilities:
- Assess and address students’ occupational therapy needs through individualized plans and interventions.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and special education staff to develop and monitor IEP goals.
- Utilize evidence-based strategies to enhance participation, sensory processing, motor skills, and independence in school activities.
- Provide support, education, and resources to families and staff to cultivate inclusive learning environments.
- Maintain accurate records, complete required documentation, and participate in multidisciplinary meetings.
- Adapt therapeutic techniques and strategies based on student progress and team input.
