School-Based Physical Therapist - Elkhorn, WI
Job Description
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity delivering impactful physical therapy services for students in a school-based setting near Elkhorn, WI. This part-time role spans 24 hours per week, distributed over 3-4 days, from early September through late May. You'll have the chance to provide care and support for a diverse group of 14 students ranging from kindergarten through 12th grade, making a meaningful difference in their educational lives.
What You’ll Bring:
- Current credentials as a Physical Therapist, with experience in school settings preferred
- Understanding of the unique needs of K-12 students, including developmental and educational considerations
- Skill in conducting thorough initial evaluations and ongoing assessments
- Strong organizational ability to manage a caseload across four different school sites
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration with students, staff, and families
Your Daily Impact:
- Deliver individualized and group physical therapy services tailored to students’ educational plans
- Complete initial evaluations and help develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals
- Provide consultation and support to teachers and staff, ensuring best practices in the classroom
- Maintain accurate records and timely documentation for each student
- Travel between up to four school locations within the district to serve all students on your caseload
