Step into a dynamic school-based setting providing speech-language therapy services to students from PreK through 8th grade for the upcoming academic year. In this contract role, you will collaborate with a supportive educational team to foster communication and language growth for a diverse student population.
Qualifications:
- Active CCC-SLP or SLP-CFY licensure required in Alabama
- Experience or strong interest in pediatric and school-based speech therapy
- Familiarity with the needs of PreK-8th grade students
- Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 55 students
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group speech-language therapy sessions in accordance with students' IEP goals
- Conduct speech and language evaluations, interpret results, and develop treatment plans tailored to each student
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation of services, assessments, and progress notes
- Engage with educators, administrators, and families to coordinate and support student communication needs within the school environment
- Attend and contribute to IEP meetings and team conferences as needed
- Provide consultative support and resources to classroom teachers
This contract position begins on August 12, 2026, and concludes on May 27, 2027. The role is structured at 32 hours per week, scheduled over 5 days, during the academic calendar.
