A rewarding contract opportunity is available for a qualified school social worker to provide dedicated support at the elementary level during a maternity leave, August through December 2026. This part-time position, scheduled for 2-3 days per week (8:15am-3:30pm), offers a manageable caseload focused on working closely with students in an emotional/behavioral disabilities (ED) program. With only three students currently in the program, this role ensures the ability to build meaningful connections and deliver tailored support.

Key Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) required
• Current certification as a school social worker
• Previous experience in school settings, especially with elementary-age students, preferred
• Understanding of best practices for supporting children with emotional/behavioral disabilities (ED)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, administrators, students, and families

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide social, emotional, and behavioral support services to a small caseload of elementary students
• Develop and implement individualized support plans in coordination with education teams
• Foster positive relationships with students, helping them navigate challenges related to emotional/behavioral needs
• Serve as a resource for teachers and staff to promote a supportive educational environment
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with school and district policies
• Communicate regularly with families and external providers as appropriate
