Desired Qualifications:

• Current Arizona Department of Education Standard K-12 Teaching Certification (Special Education)
• Valid fingerprint clearance card is required for employment
• Prior classroom experience or training in special education settings highly valued
• Strong skills in developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with colleagues, students, and families
• Resourcefulness, empathy, and a commitment to inclusive educational practices

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction for students with specialized needs in one of the following: Middle School Resource, Middle School Behavior Program, K-8 Behavior Program, or Elementary Adaptive Program
• Develop, monitor, and update IEPs in accordance with state and federal guidelines
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and related service providers to maximize student success
• Foster a nurturing, structured, and positive classroom environment
• Utilize data and assessment tools to track progress, adjust plans, and advocate for students
• Participate in school meetings, professional development, and new teacher orientation as scheduled
