Job Description
Embark on a fulfilling contract opportunity supporting students as a Speech Language Pathologist for the upcoming academic year. This position is ideal for dynamic professionals seeking to work onsite, make an immediate impact, and collaborate within a nurturing educational setting. Two SLPs are needed to help serve a diverse student population, with assignments tailored to your skills and interests across grade levels from Pre-K through high school, as well as a unique 18+ program.
As a valued team member, you’ll manage a caseload of approximately 60 students, working closely with other talented educators and support staff. Each SLP will be assigned to one or two campuses that align with their strengths—ranging from PK campuses to middle and high schools.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active SLP license for Texas or eligibility for licensure
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) status
- Experience in a school setting strongly preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to students with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize student outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to all relevant state and federal guidelines
- Offer support, resources, and education to families and faculty as needed
This contract role runs from August 6th to May 28th, following the school calendar with a weekly commitment of 37.5 hours. There is no virtual component—full onsite engagement fosters meaningful connections with students and colleagues.
