Job Description
A rewarding opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to serve students in grades 6-12 on a full-time contract basis through the academic year, from August 6 to May 25, 2027. In this engaging role, you will make a significant difference by working directly with a diverse group of 40-50 students in a supportive school environment near Pendleton, SC.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Sciences, or a related field
- Current SLP-CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) required
- Valid state licensure (or eligibility) for SLP practice in a school setting
- Previous experience with adolescent or secondary school populations preferred
- Exceptional communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary team members
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver therapy services to students across a varied caseload
- Support students in grades 6-12 as they work toward communication, language, and speech goals within academic and social contexts
- Maintain therapy records and track progress in line with school and regulatory requirements
- Consult with educators and parents to provide strategies that enhance student learning and engagement
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to team recommendations for student supports
