Job Description
LHH is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join a growing organization. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and committed to delivering excellent internal customer service. The role is requiring Paylocoty experience and construction experience is preferred. The role is Contract-to-Hire and paying within the range of $55,000-$60,000.

Key Responsibilities
- Process weekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees.
- Accurately calculate wages, overtime, bonuses, deductions, and reimbursements.
- Review and reconcile timekeeping records, resolving discrepancies as needed.
- Maintain payroll records and ensure data accuracy.
- Partner with the company's third-party payroll provider to ensure payroll tax filings, payments, and year-end reporting are completed accurately and on time.
- Ensure compliance with applicable payroll laws and regulations.
- Generate payroll reports for management and accounting.
- Respond to employee questions regarding payroll, deductions, benefits, and reimbursements.
- Assist employees with payroll system usage and resolve payroll-related issues.
- Maintain employee payroll data and support payroll system updates and enhancements.
- Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and efficiencies.
- Assist with payroll audits and support month-end and year-end accounting activities.
- Perform additional payroll and accounting-related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Paylocity experience is required
- Construction experience preferred
- 3+ years of payroll processing experience.
- Strong understanding of payroll practices, tax regulations, and wage and hour laws.
- Working knowledge of accounting principles.
- Experience working with third-party payroll providers.
- Proficiency with payroll systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
