Step into a vital role supporting early learners as a contract school psychologist for the upcoming academic year. In this position, you'll provide on-site services focusing on Pre-K children, especially those navigating the First Step Transition program, which supports behavioral intervention and school readiness.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid state license or certification as a School Psychologist
  • Experience working with early childhood or Pre-K populations preferred
  • Strong background in conducting behavioral assessments and implementing interventions
  • Familiarity with multidisciplinary team evaluations (e.g., with OT, PT, SLP, Autism Consultants, nurses, etc.)
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging with young children, families, and educational staff
  • Ability to collaborate and consult with teachers and caregivers around behavioral and socio-emotional needs

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver evidence-based behavioral intervention services for Pre-K students to foster social-emotional development and classroom success
  • Implement the First Step Transition program, including behavioral coaching, progress monitoring, and collaboration with families and teachers
  • Support smooth transitions for Pre-K students as they enter school, providing both direct intervention and consultative services
  • Conduct comprehensive Preschool Evaluations as part of a multidisciplinary team in a preschool setting tailored for children with special needs and diverse abilities
  • Serve a caseload of approximately 70 students, primarily at a dedicated early childhood campus
  • Participate in two-day evaluations for incoming children in collaboration with multidisciplinary staff
  • Maintain professional documentation and comply with district guidelines and best practices

The contract runs from August 14, 2026, to June 4, 2027, totaling 35 hours per week, with occasional additional time as needed.
