Job Description

This full-time, full school year role is itinerant in nature, requiring flexibility and a proactive approach, as you’ll travel between various sites providing essential PT services. You’ll collaborate with a dynamic team, supporting students and staff throughout the district.
Preferred candidates bring expertise working in California schools and demonstrate adaptability in a multi-site environment. If you possess Spanish bilingual skills, you’ll find your ability to connect with students and families even more valuable. In this position, you may also take on a supervisory role overseeing Physical Therapist Assistants, helping to shape a supportive, high-quality care environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Physical Therapist license for California
- Direct experience in a California school setting required
- Flexibility to travel between multiple locations within the district
- Bilingual Spanish skills strongly preferred
- Ability and willingness to supervise Physical Therapist Assistants as needed
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver therapeutic interventions and develop treatment plans tailored to student needs
- Conduct assessments and contribute to IEP planning and meetings
- Consult with educators, support staff, and families to maximize student mobility and independence
- Supervise PTAs, ensuring adherence to best practices and district policies
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation
- Adapt methods and schedules as needed for a variety of school environments
