Job Description
A rewarding opportunity is available for an experienced Speech Language Pathologist to work with early childhood students in a professional, supportive school environment. This contract position involves providing on-site services within an engaging educational setting focused on pediatric populations. The assignment is set to begin August 24, 2026, and extend through September 30, 2026, with a possibility of continuing based on program needs.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Current licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Experience in education-based settings, pediatric speech therapy, or healthcare-related SLP roles
- Ability to provide in-person services in a collaborative team environment
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy to students in accordance with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and educational best practices
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and monitor student progress
- Participate in IEP meetings, collaborate with families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain thorough documentation and adhere to local/state regulations
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment for children of diverse backgrounds and speech/language needs
This contract role offers valuable experience working closely with early learners, and is ideal for SLPs passionate about developing communication skills in young children. The position is exclusively in-person at the Tualatin Early Childhood Center.
