Job Description
Step into an impactful role serving high school students as a Speech-Language Pathologist for a contract assignment from September 8 through December 18. This full-time opportunity covers a leave of absence within a supportive educational setting, giving you the chance to focus on pediatric speech needs in a single school site environment. You'll collaborate closely with another experienced SLP, ensuring ample professional support and teamwork.
Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Hold or be eligible for the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Licensed (or able to obtain licensure) as an SLP in Illinois
- Experience working with adolescent and pediatric populations, preferably in a school setting
- Skill set including evaluation, diagnosis, and implementation of individualized therapy plans
- Comfort with managing IEPs, consultative services, and documentation for a diverse high school caseload
Responsibilities Include:
- Delivering direct speech-language therapy services for approximately 46 high school students, with 4 additional students requiring consult-only support
- Conducting a total of 7 evaluations across the assignment
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and the onsite SLP for holistic student support
- Managing documentation, progress reports, and IEP-related paperwork
- Supporting teachers and staff with strategies and consultations to maximize student communication outcomes
