13-Week Contract to Hire | Specialty Compounding Pharmacy

We are seeking a highly skilled Sterile Compounding Pharmacist for a 13-week contract-to-hire opportunity with a reputable specialty compounding pharmacy in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented pharmacist with strong sterile compounding experience and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Position Overview

The Sterile Compounding Pharmacist will be responsible for overseeing and performing sterile and non-sterile compounding processes while ensuring full compliance with regulatory standards and internal procedures. This position plays a critical role in maintaining patient safety, product quality, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately prepare compounded sterile and non-sterile medications in accordance with master formula worksheets
  • Ensure compliance with USP <795>, <797>, and <800> standards
  • Follow and enforce all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and company policies
  • Maintain strict adherence to cleaning, garbing, and aseptic technique protocols
  • Perform necessary calculations and complete all required documentation
  • Operate and monitor compounding and production equipment according to established procedures
  • Prepare and maintain clean, compliant work environments prior to production
  • Conduct quality control testing and inspections to verify accuracy, purity, and potency
  • Stay current with evolving compounding practices, technologies, and regulations
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training

Schedule

  • Monday – Friday
  • Shifts may vary:
    • 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
    • 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
    • 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM

Requirements

  • Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist license (in good standing)
  • Recent pharmacist experience
  • Sterile compounding experience required
  • Strong knowledge of USP <795>, <797>, and <800> guidelines
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance
