Job Description
Step into a rewarding, full-time contract opportunity supporting elementary students by providing speech-language services throughout the school year. This important role, spanning 8/12 to 5/28, focuses on working with grades 1-4 and makes a meaningful impact for 80-100 students as part of a collaborative special education team.
Ideal candidates are licensed and ready to step in as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), SLP who holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC), or a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA). Experience in school-based settings is strongly valued.
Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Current state licensure as SLP or SLPA
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred for SLP applicants
- Prior experience serving elementary school populations
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Comfortable managing a diverse caseload of 80-100 students
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy to students in grades 1-4
- Conduct assessments, maintain documentation, and monitor progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and consult with parents, teachers, and staff
- Develop appropriate interventions and instructional strategies
- Provide support for classroom integration and communication needs
- Maintain organization and confidentiality across the caseload
