Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Johnstown, CO
Job Description
Make an impact by supporting early childhood students as an in-person Speech-Language Pathologist for the upcoming school year. This contract opportunity runs from mid-August 2026 to late May 2027, with a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week. You’ll work with a manageable caseload of 50-55 students and will guide the work of an SLPA. While fully in-person services are preferred, consideration may be given to applicants able to supervise on-site at least three days per week in a hybrid format.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active SLP state license and educator certificate
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
- Prior experience working in a school or early childhood setting strongly preferred
- Ability and eligibility to supervise an SLPA
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organization skills
- Comfortable providing in-person therapy and able to commit to required on-site days if hybrid
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, develop IEP goals, and deliver speech-language therapy for early childhood students
- Manage a diverse caseload of 50-55 children, tracking progress and documentation
- Supervise and collaborate with an SLPA, offering guidance and support
- Attend meetings, contribute input to IEP teams, and connect with families as needed
- Maintain compliance with all district, state, and federal guidelines
