Job Description
Step into a rewarding role providing essential speech-language services to students at an elementary school near Cedar Park, TX. This 12-week contract opportunity is ideal for a passionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) ready to make an impact covering a leave from August 3rd to October 23rd.
You will support a diverse caseload of approximately 50 students, including push-in therapy within Life Skills programs and group sessions for third graders. Your expertise will be vital for planning, tracking progress, and contributing to student success during this important stretch of the academic year.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Current licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Texas
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Demonstrated experience in a school setting preferred
- Skilled in crafting Present Levels of Academic Achievement and Functional Performance (PLAAFPs) and setting targeted goals
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Able to facilitate ARD meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct therapy to a caseload of 50 students across various learning environments
- Develop and update PLAAFPs and individualized goals as needed
- Prepare, facilitate, and archive speech-only ARDs for your caseload
- Collaborate with the MTSS team, attending meetings and observing students to support intervention planning
- Update and submit progress reports at the end of the first grading period
- Conduct speech-only evaluations, ensuring all due dates are met
This full-time, on-site contract spans approximately 7.5 hours per day, Monday through Friday. It’s an excellent opportunity to expand your experience, enjoy a collaborative environment, and play an essential role during a leave period.
