Step into a fulfilling opportunity as a part-time school social worker, supporting young students and creating meaningful impact during a maternity leave coverage from late August through early December 2026. This contracted position is tailored for a dedicated professional passionate about empowering elementary-aged children, particularly within an Emotional Disturbance (ED) program.

Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) required
  • Valid certification as a school social worker
  • Experience supporting elementary school-aged children, especially those with emotional or behavioral needs
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Compassionate approach to working with students, parents, and educators
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and small group counseling to students within the ED program
  • Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to implement effective intervention strategies
  • Conduct assessments and develop student support plans
  • Monitor and document student progress and interventions
  • Advocate for students’ academic, social, and emotional well-being
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute insights on student needs
  • Offer crisis intervention, support conflict resolution, and foster positive school environments
