Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting students with significant behavioral and safety needs, including those with aggressive or self-injurious behaviors
• Remaining proactive and alert, consistently implementing individualized safety and behavioral interventions
• Assisting with daily care tasks such as toileting, diapering, feeding, and physical transfers as needed
• Maintaining a positive and calm demeanor in high-intensity settings
• Collaborating closely with teachers, staff, and caregivers to maximize student success
• Attending and actively participating in a mandatory orientation week before the assignment begins

What we’re seeking:

• At least one year of paraprofessional experience in a school special education setting (PreK–12) with students exhibiting intensive behaviors, including autism
• Current residence within a 35-minute commute of the assignment location
• Full availability for the assignment schedule (Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–3:00 PM)
• Meets or is willing to obtain the Pennsylvania paraprofessional qualification within 60 days (if not already completed)
• Comfortable with all aspects of hands-on personal care and behavioral support
• Willingness and ability to adapt to changing environments and assignments based on school needs
