Per Diem Staff Pharmacist - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

This opportunity seeks a skilled pharmacist to provide retail pharmacy coverage in Washington, Pennsylvania, beginning August 7th. This per diem role focuses on delivering high-quality medication dispensing and patient care during first shifts from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, using Pioneer software.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispense medications accurately and safely under manager supervision.
• Counsel patients on their medication regimens, ensuring they understand proper use.
• Address patient inquiries, concerns, and complaints following organizational guidelines.
• Maintain stock levels and manage controlled drug records and inventories.
• Resolve patient issues and clarify third-party insurance coverage questions.

Qualifications:

• Active pharmacist license in Pennsylvania.
• Minimum of one year of retail pharmacy experience.
• Familiarity with retail pharmacy operations and patient counseling.
• Proficient in pharmacy software (experience with Pioneer preferred).

Schedule:

• Per diem, first shift
• 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
