Occupational Therapist School Setting - Arlington Heights, IL

Work a consistent weekday schedule, with mornings starting at 7:30am and afternoons ending at 3:00pm, giving you your evenings free.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license for Illinois
• Previous experience working in a school setting preferred
• Clinical skills supporting high school-aged students with complex needs (grades 9-12)
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities
• Ability to adapt interventions to meet individual student goals

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and consultative OT services for a caseload of approximately 18 high school students
• Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans in collaboration with IEP teams
• Document student progress and maintain accurate records
• Work closely with teachers, support staff, and families to foster student participation in school activities and functional skills
• Support students’ fine motor, sensory processing, self-care, and adaptive skills for greater independence within the educational environment

This role offers a competitive rate starting at $43 per hour, with increases commensurate with experience.
