Step into a rewarding contract role providing vital Occupational Therapy support for early learners as the new school year begins. Based near Arlington Heights, this assignment runs from August 12 through November 3, and is ideal for professionals passionate about helping young children reach their fullest potential.

Working primarily with early childhood and kindergarten students, you'll provide high-impact interventions, collaborate with educators and families, and design therapy programs tailored to each child’s unique needs. The school has a supportive atmosphere, a manageable caseload of approximately 25 students, and a well-defined daily schedule from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm—including a lunch break, for a total of 7.5 guaranteed hours each day.

Candidates skilled in school-based Occupational Therapy will thrive here, especially those familiar with early intervention and foundational motor skill development. Desired Qualifications:

  • Current Occupational Therapy license for Illinois
  • Experience working with early childhood and kindergarten-aged students in a school setting preferred
  • Ability to develop, implement, and monitor individualized therapy plans
  • Collaboration skills to work effectively with teachers, parents, and support staff
  • Strong organizational and communication abilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate students’ abilities and create individualized therapy goals
  • Support classroom teams with strategies and adaptive tools
  • Provide direct therapy services (individual and group)
  • Document and communicate student progress
  • Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate on educational programming
