Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in Ohio
- Previous experience in school-based OT, especially with K-6th grade population
- Skills in home health and general healthcare settings are valuable
- Strong ability to collaborate with educators, families, and paraeducators
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills
- Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning atmosphere
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver therapeutic interventions tailored for K-6th grade students, addressing fine motor, sensory, and developmental needs
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized education plans in coordination with the educational team
- Track student progress, maintain accurate documentation, and participate in IEP meetings
- Provide consultative support to teachers and families to implement strategies within classroom and home environments
- Stay current on best practices in pediatric occupational therapy and school-based therapy approaches
