Job Description
Step into an essential role supporting students’ communication needs with this school-based SLP opportunity, available immediately through the end of the school year. Situated near the Pasadena, TX area, this contract engagement is ideal for passionate professionals eager to make a lasting impact across multiple locations.
As a valued member of a collaborative educational team, you’ll conduct speech and language assessments, develop individualized plans, and provide direct therapy to a diverse caseload of approximately 60 students. Your expertise will support progress, growth, and success for learners who rely on your guidance.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA
- Texas licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Strong experience in K-12 settings, with comfort traveling between sites
- Ability to manage a dynamic caseload and effectively prioritize student needs
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language services onsite to students identified for intervention
- Conduct thorough evaluations and document findings in accordance with district standards
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other specialists to develop and implement IEPs
- Partner with families to provide updates and support carryover of communication strategies
- Maintain meticulous records and meet all state and federal guidelines
- Participate in meetings and professional development activities as required
