Three opportunities are available for skilled RBTs passionate about delivering individualized behavioral support to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), emotional disabilities, and developmental delays.
In this contract position, you’ll work closely with a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), implementing targeted Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) both one-on-one and in small group settings. Your commitment will directly enhance student progress, foster independence, and promote positive behavioral outcomes.
Key Qualifications:
- Active and verifiable RBT certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
- Successful completion of a fingerprint criminal background check and Virginia Department of Social Services child abuse registry check.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including lifting up to 30 lbs and providing physical assistance to students as necessary.
- Preferred: Minimum one year of experience as an RBT in public schools or pediatric settings.
Core Responsibilities:
- Implement individual academic, behavioral, and social skill-acquisition plans developed by the BCBA.
- Accurately document student progress and targeted behaviors using district-approved data systems.
- Employ approved de-escalation and crisis intervention techniques when necessary.
- Support classroom teachers and special education staff with setup, organization, and student transitions to ensure an optimal learning environment.
