Provide essential support throughout multiple educational settings, collaborating closely with an onsite Occupational Therapist to deliver outstanding therapy services. This contract role spans the entire academic year, with a full-time schedule of 35 hours per week, from late August 2026 through late May 2027. It’s an ideal fit for COTAs who thrive on variety and enjoy working in a supportive, team-based atmosphere.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active Pennsylvania Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license required
- Experience providing school-based occupational therapy support preferred
- Skilled at working with K-12 populations in both individual and group settings
- Comfortable adapting to varied education environments (elementary, middle, high school)
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation abilities
- Collaborative approach to working with OTs, educators, and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy interventions under the supervision of an onsite OT
- Assist in implementing individualized education plans for students throughout the district
- Travel between four school sites to provide consistent support as needed
- Conduct therapy sessions to enhance students’ academic participation and daily skills
- Maintain accurate, timely records in accordance with school policies and state requirements
