As a Licensed School Nurse, you'll work onsite and serve as a vital member of the district’s health services team. Your knowledge and collaborative approach will help foster a healthy learning environment for students, staff, and families across five schools.
Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Public Health Nurse license
- School Nurse License issued by the Board of Teaching
- Current CPR and BLS certifications
- Experience working in school nursing or pediatric health preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to travel between multiple sites within the district
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive school health services for a diverse student body in an itinerant capacity
- Develop and implement individualized health care plans
- Respond to medical emergencies and coordinate care with families, providers, and district staff
- Conduct health education and wellness initiatives
- Ensure compliance with district and state regulations regarding student health
- Maintain accurate health records and documentation across multiple locations
