Special Education Teacher | West Chester, Pennsylvania

This full-time, onsite opportunity spans the 2026-2027 academic year, with multiple openings across both elementary (4 positions) and middle school (1 position) environments. You’ll work 35 hours per week, from August 24, 2026, through June 10, 2027, in a contract position designed for professionals who thrive in supportive, high-energy schools.

What We’re Looking For:

• Current certification/licensure required for special education caseload
• Bachelor’s degree (minimum requirement for emergency permit)
• Previous school experience, especially in urban settings
• Mastery of instructional subject matter and teaching resources
• History of effective classroom and behavioral management
• Skilled in differentiated instruction, formative assessments, and lesson planning aligned with state and district standards
• Ability to complete all required PA clearances
• Reliable transportation for consistent onsite attendance
• Comfort working within district guidelines and school locations
• Ability to work onsite between the hours of 8:30AM and 4PM (schedule is non-negotiable)

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, individualized lessons for students with diverse learning needs
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment and manage behaviors effectively
• Develop and implement lesson plans that align with current standards and leverage formative assessments
• Collaborate with fellow educators and support staff to ensure student success
