Job Description
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A travel pharmacist opportunity is available at a 250-bed hospital in Redding, California, offering a dynamic role in a hospital pharmacy setting. This position provides flexible scheduling options to accommodate your preferred work style.
Schedule:• Choose between four 10-hour shifts per week or a 7-on, 7-off schedule• Day and afternoon shifts available
Responsibilities:• Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently• Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth workflow• Collaborate and consult with physicians and nurses on medication management• Manage pharmacokinetics and support advanced patient care initiatives• Utilize IT systems including Cerner and Omnicell to manage pharmacy operations
Qualifications and Desired Experience:• Valid California pharmacist license required• Experience in hospital pharmacy, particularly with order verification and clinical collaboration• Familiarity with Cerner and Omnicell systems preferred• Strong communication skills and ability to supervise pharmacy staff• Positive attitude and willingness to adapt in a fast-paced environment• PGY1 residency preferred but not mandatory• Interest in travel assignments and flexible on compensation expectations
