School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Evanston, Illinois

Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students by supporting diverse learners as a bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist in a collaborative school network spanning Chicago and North Chicago. This full-time, in-person contract position runs from July 2026 through June 2027 and offers the opportunity to work with students across grade levels, primarily at PreK-8 and K-8 campuses. Your skills in communication, assessment, and intervention will play a vital role in helping young learners reach their full potential.

Desired Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Current SLP-CCC certification
• Active state licensure to practice as a school-based SLP
• Bilingual Spanish skills highly preferred, though not mandatory
• Experience working with diverse, multicultural student populations
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational abilities
• Commitment to in-person service delivery

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide evaluation, diagnosis, and evidence-based therapy for students with communication and language needs
• Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Offer culturally competent services with sensitivity to the bilingual and multicultural community
• Document progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school and district guidelines
• Engage with parents and caregivers, offering education and resources to support students outside of school
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and contribute to the school’s supportive learning environment
