Job Description
Our organization is actively looking for a full-time Trauma/Acute Care Surgeon to become a part of our employed model group. This role is based at our primary facility, St. Mary Medical Center, situated in Langhorne, Pennsylvania.
The selected Trauma/Acute Care Surgeon will integrate into our surgical team, collaborating with various Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) who assist our physicians. You will work closely with consulting specialists and ancillary services to ensure the highest quality of care for our Trauma/Acute Care Surgery patients. This position also serves as a clinical liaison between the Trauma/Acute Care Surgery Service and other physician services, as well as in-house departments.
Requirements- Completion of a Fellowship and Board Certification or Eligibility in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care.
- Possession of an active ATLS certification.
- A proven dedication to clinical excellence, education, and quality enhancement.
- Deliver comprehensive care in Trauma Surgery, Surgical Critical Care, and Emergency General Surgery.
- Engage in the management of trauma patients throughout their entire journey, from initial resuscitation to rehabilitation.
- Act as a clinical educator for General Surgery Residents.
- Provide coverage for the Trauma/Acute Care surgery clinic.
- Participate in clinical research and scholarly initiatives.
- Take on administrative and leadership roles, supporting ongoing trauma verification and performance improvement efforts.
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary trauma program that emphasizes quality, safety, and education.
