Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Trumbull, CT

ProCare Therapy
Trumbull, CT, US Full Time

Job Description

Job Description

Exciting opportunity to provide speech-language services in a supportive school environment working with pre-kindergarten and elementary-aged students! This contract position offers a consistent two-day-per-week schedule, running from 8:15 AM to 3:30 PM (with a 30-minute unpaid lunch), ideal for professionals seeking meaningful work without a full-time commitment.

You'll primarily work with high-functioning students, targeting communication needs in a dynamic, inclusive setting—no self-contained programming required. Collaborate with an experienced, full-time SLP who manages evaluations and participates in Planning and Placement Team (PPT) meetings. Together, you'll share and coordinate student caseloads; for example, a student scheduled for two 30-minute sessions per week will see each SLP once, promoting collaborative care and continuity.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Valid state licensure and necessary certification to provide SLP services in a school setting
  • Prior experience with pediatric, preschool, or elementary populations preferred
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to collaborate on student goals and service planning

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, evidence-based speech-language therapy to students PK-elementary
  • Implement service plans as part of a coordinated SLP team
  • Document student progress and collaborate with educators, families, and support staff
  • Participate in team meetings and communicate student needs/goals
  • Contribute to creating a positive and supportive learning environment

Enjoy the chance to focus on direct student impact while maintaining work-life balance. The role supports and supplements a strong full-time SLP, ensuring students and families receive high-quality care.

If you’re passionate about helping students achieve their fullest potential in communication, apply today and bring your expertise to a warm, collaborative school setting!

Compensation for this position ranges from $45.92 to $65.92. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
